How does it work? Does it patch the kernel or kernel32.dll? Or is there some "clean" way to do this?

What it basically does is it adds a list of specified files that you dont want to be ran on you machine, to the "blacklist", in the registry.

Oh, I missed that. Where exactly is this list in registry?

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\DisallowRun

By default this key is not created. saved you work of having to edit manually or if your 'gpedit.msc' is broken

1. IMO you should also enclose sources for the DLL.

2. In "press OK to create registry key", you should also have "cancel" option which doesn't create it.

if you want an appMan intaller i also have it.

This app comes in handy. For me there are some annoying programs that just pop up on the screen while am doing other stuff. Finally i can just disable them and start them later.

Why not just use services.msc to disable/enable services?

Question

Do you find anything wrong with this program?. What if someone doesn't know what services.msc is?
After all it is not for and about services. It's about program execution as a whole. notepad.exe is not a service.

Doesn't do anything in win7, when I go to the msdn and search for 'DisallowRun' it tells me that it applies to win2000 only.
