How does it work? Does it patch the kernel or kernel32.dll? Or is there some "clean" way to do this?

Quote: What it basically does is it adds a list of specified files that you dont want to be ran on you machine, to the "blacklist", in the registry. Oh, I missed that. Where exactly is this list in registry? |

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\DisallowRun
By default this key is not created. saved you work of having to edit manually or if your 'gpedit.msc' is broken |

1. IMO you should also enclose sources for the DLL.
2. In "press OK to create registry key", you should also have "cancel" option which doesn't create it. |

if you want an appMan intaller i also have it.
This app comes in handy. For me there are some annoying programs that just pop up on the screen while am doing other stuff. Finally i can just disable them and start them later. |

Why not just use services.msc to disable/enable services?

You should add explorer.exe to the disallow list!

Doesn't do anything in win7, when I go to the msdn and search for 'DisallowRun' it tells me that it applies to win2000 only.
