Well I loaded up MenuetOS, and the fonts weren't displaying. I tried to look around for help but didn't find any. So I guess I'll have to wait for that to get resolved. Maybe I'll learn assembly and look around.

Anyway, that's not the point. I decided to try and recompile the kernel, just for fun, and got an output file of 78KB. Compared to the 88KB kernel on the floppy, I thought something went wrong and it wouldn't work. But it booted and ran correctly, as far as I could tell, which isn't very much since fonts still didn't work =P.

Just a little story. Anyone might know a reason for this to happen?

It could be something wrong with your graphics card. Did you try loading on the lowest settings?

I doubt it's a graphical problem, as it didn't work with any option, and other people with AMD processors have gotten this problem only...

I tried the version of Menuet in that thread, and the graphics work nicely, but it stops at Unmasking IRQ's... Note that it doesn't stop and wait for me to press ESC, it just oges straight to that.

Maybe I'll try to take code from one and put it in the other so both graphics and unmasking IRQs works... =P

Never mind. MenuetBL didn't work, but I tried MenuetPU, and that worked fine, although I dislike being limited to 640x480. Well, at least it works, now I can start doing things with it =)
