Another example of the scientific genius who broke his own career due to controversial claims, bizarre behavior and underestimation of the private sponsors.

Nikola Tesla was a real legend here, in the countries formerly belonging to the Eastern Bloc, as a one of the greatest scientists of Slavic descent.

wow... never heard of him, but he seems like he was the real genius of electricity not
edison... to bad though it looks like he had some good ideas

He invented the Van de Graf generator.

Just saw a show on the History channel about him today. Never knew he invented or worked on so many things we use in every day life.
