I learned several now dead languages, then took off running with basic(learned lots of bad habits). Learned to put things in order and structure with pascal. Leaned objects and abstraction as well as overlays with c++. Visual basic / dalphi brought much of the abstraction of windows home and killed most of the fun. Assembly has been teaching my a lot of the why's of how things got to where they are and has brought up lots of questions of why nor. Mostly I figure out the why not after crashing the computer 100 different ways over a week or two of trying things to see what and why.
