> MenuetOS > Newbie to MenuetOS
Hi all there!
I'm new to menuetos which I found last night on a website.
My problem is my floppy disk (a is not working at all. I have tried so
many empty disks, even new but with no positive results.
I want to know what is the simplest way and the less dangerous
way to run menuetos from my hard disk.
I have done lots of search before posting in this forum but as
I'm new to programming stuff and all (well I'm still learning)
I don't understand well how to manage those kernel.cnt and l
loaders, and even partition.
Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me.
(sorry for my bad english, I'm french)

Parceque moi, je ne parle pas le francais, (si bien)
I will try to use some englais ici.
While i am able to read some simple french, (je suis belge)
I'm more comfortable with the other worldwide language...
I have written minstall.exe, and would like to know where exactly it goes wrong, did you see the kernel.mnt ? message? did you get to the blue screen?
I am currently busy trying to load menuetos from a ntfs partition,
but a lot of testing needs to be done... (Encore merci a dentro)
I am currently able to guide you trough a menuetos setup on a extended fat32 partition. And i am learning my way around ntfs (almost working on XP, a little more work needed on 2000...)
mail me if you have an extended fat32 partition,
(or when you just want to help me out on ntfs...)

En fait mon problème est que je n'arrive pas
à installer menuetos sur disquette parce que
mon lecteur a: ne marche plus, je voudrais
simplement savoir comment on l'installe sur
un disque dur.

I have a Quantum Fireball 3.5 series hard drive with:
2484 Cylenders/16 heads/63 Sectors 1280mb AT Drive
Incase someone wants to write a new type of partiton table. I can test it after I get MeOs set up on a floppy.
I have other questions and comments here http://board.flatassembler.net/topic.php?t=1156
