a 60 minute audio cassete can only store.. 40 000 kB, not enough to store 60 minutes of MP3.
see then the time needed to read that cassette, and load a file, locate it, find it, etc... that is why magnetic tapes are completelly obsolette nowadays.

but you are free to test it. me too i still have a good old cassette player that is waiting for a good useage, like cassette riping. or maybe test of some code...

anyone to port AuDSL to win32?

It's funny how you didn't even include an option like "I actually use Menuet" or something. It's like you're saying it's understood that it's useless. Laughing Not that I necessarily agree with that opinion, just pointing that out.Smile

What about KolibriOS?
Albeit it's still 32 bit only, I guess it's more actively developed?

MenuetOS is bloatware, this is only 64k and more useful
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErPDIG8HQno

Call of duty skin for the OS

or anything

And it skinable and CODED IN FASM and open source

So you need to put "because its bloatware" in your poll Laughing

Alright Dex4u, make an universal solution for the windrivers(let's say like NDISwrapper but not only for some network drivers) and i will not only be your fan for life Image but a fervent propagator, missionary worker of DexOS. =)

BTW you should demand a subforum in the General Section.

Why a server before a browser? Seems backwards to me.Razz(I assume you have no browser because of the menu option looking like it is disabled)

How much of that menu and background is hard coded, as in, what would adding or removing an option or change the background involve? Looks cool, I'm just wondering how extensible it is.

Good ?, the browser ? is simple we have a full tcp/ip stack, but to code a browser to anywhere what people are used to is a project in its self, which would take a good 3 year coding.
I leave that to others to do, because i just do not have the time.

The menu is made up of a set of functions with many option color, skin etc.
Background is just a change of a image, also the the gui is a single app that can be replayed, by just loading a different ver.

On top of all that in the next release out soon, theres a MenuetOS/KolibriOS function wrap so 95% of apps coded for MenuetOS/KolibriOS can be run in DexOS.

Plus we are working on a arm port

NOTE: The OS is not just made by me, it a TEAM of coders (team DexOS)

It's made mostly in Russian. Although English isn't the native language of most people here, the people here learn it more than they do Russian. Also, it lacks 90% of the programs i frequently use and drivers.

Sucks for you Menuet isn't open anymore, you could just use their browser until you found time to make your own.Smile
