I tried to start MenuetOS 0.75 on a computer with i486 processor, but loading hangs, when it is necessary to press ESC. Why?

I also had this problem, that the system hands when "Unmasking IRQ's".
The way I found around it was to change the IRQ assigned to my parallel port in the bios. So your best bet is to change the irq's for different ports, parallel / serial, or disable them alltogether and see if that helps.
