indeed yours seems perfect! very weird... i've tried in my home and in my job and both get same bugged result.
I've noticed in your image that you are using wink 6.93.00 while i tested in 92.02 and 92.03. Maybe should you check in these versions? |

wink 6.93 does not change anything about this font problem. 6.93 Wink is able to save and restore all the command lines of the last open files. I am the designer of wink, so it's normal that I have a the latest version ![]() ![]() |

perfect résult for me. In both cases (you and me), same wink, same font, then the problem is not from the font, or from wink, but comes from elsewhere. (the graphics card, the operating system ?) I don't understand, really, it's very weird. in your case, this problem does it occur with all fonts (and all sizes) ? |

yes, all fonts/size bugged in wink (except in verybig sizes (>22)), no font bugged in fasmw
![]() Would be good someone else check this issue. _________________ Sorry if bad english. |

What happens if you try with "zmov" instead "mov"? or just the letter "v" alone ? (to remove color) |

there is no bug. the bug happens only in (all) colored keywords.
ex: Code:
mov
cmp
macro
rep
word
dd
labels...
;etc. _________________ Sorry if bad english. |

It's very annoying because it is not easy for me to fix a problem if I am not able to reproduce it, and with my computer setup (windows xp pro, azus P5Q Pro, µP Q6600, 4Go, GeForce 8800 GTX), wink works perfectly. Which operating system do you have ? Windows 7 ? If you had the opportunity to test this with windows xp, I would be interested to know the result. as madis731 said, I also suspect a problem with ClearType and/or subpixel rendering (windows vista an windows 7 ... not with xp) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subpixel_rendering http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ClearType ![]() |

Quote: If you had the opportunity to test this with windows xp, I did, it works fine there. ![]() That bug happens in Win7 Home Premium and Starter editions. There is a way to disable ClearType on Win7? Edit: i found and disabled the ClearType and Wink worked fine. But text get weird (i'm used to ClearType ![]() Peharps if you increase the render text rectangle by 1 this may help? _________________ Sorry if bad english. Actually, i think it is a wink bug. First because wink is the only code editor that happens this bug. Second, Fasmw is ok; notepad++ (that use only win32 api call) is ok; even wink non-highlight (zmov) words is ok; so it IS a wink highlight bug ![]() PS: version .04 still the same ![]() edit: PS 2: well, notepad++ uses scintila component and idk if it uses win32 api only ![]() _________________ Sorry if bad english. |
