what is the reason for task gates?
changing task can be done by calling/jumping directly to TSS descriptor.
Task gate is not required, its just is for no good reason.

Yes, asmcoder, we bow to your superior knowledge on all things CPU as usual. You are correct, the TSS is completely useless, don't even bother to think about speculating on the merest possibility of contemplating using it even once.
