i would like to try programming pic/apic/x2apic/and so on.
i know only that they control interrupts sent by peripherals.
they have mask register wich mask out certain vectors, and irq register, wich connects device to vector.

i need some help with it, like shor explanation about each (pic/apic/lapic/ioapic/xapic/x2apic) and example code of changoing something so see diffrence.
i use bochs as emulator, will it work there?
