cli = clear interrupt flag
hlt = resume execution after reciving interrupt

executing hlt after cli result in waiting for interrupt vector 2 (nmi) wich is delivered not through intr wich interrupt flag enables.

in order to hang cpu, you have to do it via acpi, it control power flow.
or:
a: cli
hlt jmp a

you can also execute lock cmpxchg8b with register operand.
it is possible, through undocumented. cpu will lock the bus, execute cmpxchg, and fetch another instruction. ups, it wont fetch because bus is locked, so it will stuck waiting for instruction for eternity.

Ok, time to read some results:

18% had the courage to admit they got it shriveled,
36% are left-handed,
9% are right-handed,
9% are ambidextrous,
27% didn't know what i was talking about, plus they hate me Twisted Evil.

So the majority are left-handed and i am glad that 73% got the question, thank you guys for your cooperation.

BTW, Of course i was talking about neckties.
