hello!

this morning, i saw one more time a curious cloud, it was like a big wave.

with some searches, i learnt more about.

this new type of cloud is named asperatus.

theses clouds were not present 50 years ago, some pretends it signal a danger or apocalypse.

Image

in my opinion, theses clouds anounce a new climatic age or change.

Wow that's something. I've never seen one either. And it's very rare and new (~30 years) indeed, as wikipedia says.

The weather in western/southern Europe has been f***ed up big time lately. It's a real mess in some areas.

i interpret it as a lack from wiki because every sites related to asperatus claim that it is a new type of cloud never seen before 30-50 years ago.

and please note also that there are no pictures of these type of clouds even in impressionism period. leonardo da vinci never paint any of them.
there are no trace of them before 30 years ago.

Actually I now looked through the several google results on asperatus clouds and I haven't found such claim in the official articles. To the contrary:
news.nationalgeographic.com wrote:
Margaret LeMone, a cloud expert with the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado, said that she has taken photos of asperatus clouds intermittently over the past 30 years.
(from http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2009/06/photogalleries/new-cloud-pictures/#024314_600x450.jpg). This says nothing about them not existing in earlier time. And since they disperse quite quickly (according to those articles) it would be hard to "catch" them on paiting.

painters ( and humans) have naturals 1000 gigapixel eyes with 1000 tera bytes imediate storage.
then, it is really frequent to paint or draw from memory.

But they were in a way smaller number than today. If the event is really rare, it's natural to expect that we are going to catch it with reasonable frequency only after almost everyone on Earth has a camera (in cellphone, for example).

That's not really a frequent ability - combine it with a rare occurence of such clouds, and you've got a really small chances of getting them spotted and painted.
