Comparing files c:\fasm1.50\source\win32\fasmw\fasm.inc and c:\fasm1.51\source\win32\fasmw\fasm.inc
****** c:\fasm1.50\source\win32\fasmw\fasm.inc
shr edx,3
mov ecx,eax
****** c:\fasm1.51\source\win32\fasmw\fasm.inc
shr edx,3
imul edx,3
mov ecx,eax
******

i did a fc on the previous and current version to see what was done and i noticed the following and i have a question.

imul edx,3

why this statement? wouldn't this just make edx = edx before the shr instruction??

shr edx,3 is division by 8, not 3.
