So?

1) Microsoft hires 3rd party company to write tool
2) 3rd party company lifts GPL code without telling
3) MS is notified, pulls down tool site while investigating
4) admits 3rd party has used GPL code wrongly, and promises to rectify the situation

If you find that interesting, do some research into Linux Hypervisor drivers. I'm surprised that they pulled it down instead of trying to fight against the GPL.
