Someone knows what happened to this project? I Googled and Blinged as much as I could but yet, I only found anouncements from 2007 and pages written in 2008 at most but no comments from this year and also the official page removed the project telling that it will be available soon but seems it will never be...

Microsoft thought GWT was too big to be copied or them just renamed Volta to something else?

That is my guess too, but how it is possible that both search engines don't even index a comment about that written in THIS year. I don't even see something like "Google's GWT won the battle" and stuff like that.
