Hi,

I'm interested in learning flat assembler.

I've been a coder for over 30+ years so I'm not a newbie by any means.

I'm looking for any great books and / or websites I can go to to begin.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

(I'm an old COBOL coder and have lots of JAVA background too.)

Thanks,

Steve

fasm documentation and examples:
http://flatassembler.net/docs.php
http://flatassembler.net/examples.php

Various OS assembly articles:
http://mattst88.com/programming/?page=APJ

Useful references:
http://www.ctyme.com/rbrown.htm
http://developer.intel.com/products/processor/manuals/index.htm

You must tell us what OS you will be coding for so we can give you more specific references.

Go to http://www.carabez.com/downloads.html and get the file named "win32api_big.zip". You'll need it as an offline reference. If you have a good (permanent) Internet connection, you can use MSDN instead.

As for tutorials, get Iczelion's.

And yeah, last time I checked, Microsoft was a company.
