No offense, Fanael, but you're being too pedantic. If a PE runs and most tools handle it, it's considered "good enough". Saying it's invalid implies (to me, at least) that it's completely useless.

Yeah, but it doesn't run on some versions of Windows (alas, I can't recall now which versions complain about that). And PE isn't strictly bound to Windows, there are other (known only by their autors, but they still exist) systems that support this format.
