Why exactly you don't want to use macros?

now i use templates for the neuron network

one string list of DLL and SO names
a second string list with all names of function and methods
and an simple descriptor of all params and it's return value.

now the user can select Windows or Linux as target plattform
and it will work.

what are about the copyright if i use not self written macros ?
