hello:
I need to get the adrees of an arbitrary section made in ms coff format
I know I could simply put a label at the beginning of the section to access
that section but the real problem is this:

let's say I have 3 object files each file have a section 'data' with different
contents ,so if I link them to make an exe or dll these 3 sections are going
to be merged together ... right?

so how can i access the beginning of the whole merged section?

oh! and i forget: i can't (or i don't want) control the order in wich this
object files are linked. so is not as simple as a label at the beginning
of the firstly linked object file.

thanks if anyone can help.

So, you have already considered walking the PE structures that are mapped to memory? Great.

You can even get it from the file.
