Tomasz Grysztar wrote: With today's release of the 1.68, the 1.67 development line is now officially closed. Well, it was the longest development time for a milestone release up to date, so it was really high time to finish it. COOL! Thanks!!! Spasibo!!! Dzenkuju!!! Наконец-то!!! |

But the "What's new" for 1.68 is a summarization of the entire 1.67 line. I don't know if there was a change from the last 1.67 to 1.68 (I forgot to save a copy of the old WHATSNEW.TXT), but I believe that the intent of 1.68 is to provide a version with all the improvements from 1.67 and to confirm that it was tested thoroughly and that it is officially stable. |

LocoDelAssembly wrote: I believe that the intent of 1.68 is to provide a version with all the improvements from 1.67 and to confirm that it was tested thoroughly and that it is officially stable You are right, that was the intent - I planned to only to documentation upgrade for this final release and leave the code as it was in 1.67.38. However, while documenting all the added instruction set extensions, I found that I'm still missing a few instructions, so I have added them. The added instructions are INVEPT, INVVPID and LZCNT. DOS386 wrote: - Some source switches from "optimal fill" to "non-optimal fill" or vice versa Oh, right, I should correct this. DOS386 wrote: - Completely deleted 1.67 from WHATSNEW.TXT That's how the stable release vs. development line works. From the milestone release point of view, 1.68 comes immediately after 1.66. Read the earlier entries in WHATSNEW to see the pattern. DOS386 wrote: - Unreal is back (???) haven't tested yet ... It was enabled back for a very long time and 1.67.38 had it, but you ignored my tries to tell you this. |

Tomasz Grysztar wrote: was enabled back for a very long time and 1.67.38 had it, but you ignored my tries to tell you Because I was focusing more on the future (your new secret solution to the problem) rather than to check every single 1.67.3xx release whether it has it or not, and I use mostly the IDE not having it anyway, so it's not really hot for me. |

Still a small problem with the opengl example...
