Some new asshole keeps pm'ing me with very dumb messages. Is there any way to block people from private messaging me? He's driving me insane.

All I wanted to do was tell him that there was an error on his site, I never should have bothered....

Ok, heres how it went. I saw that his website had a missing " in the link on it. I pm'ed him telling him that and he replied:
Some asshole wrote:

Great. Now I've fixed it.

Ok, no problem with that. Then I get this message:
some idiot wrote:

How did you anyway figure out the home page of my program?

Ok, So I show him where he posted his homepage and emphasized the word "HERE" was his link was, so he could tell exactly where he put it.

some retard wrote:

So what? And I didn't have the word "here" emphasized that way.

SO WHAT? he asked me where i got the link, i show him, and he goes "so what."

then he sends me some weird message, not gonna put it here.

I explained why I emphasized "here", hes too dumb to remember where he posted it, and I get this message:

... wrote:

I wouldn't have required it, and second, I have more important things to do than just discuss nonsense.

Ok, what the fuck.

Ok, then I get this message:
... wrote:

For clarity, I wouldn't want any more message from you, otherwise I will go crazy.

NO, I will go crazy!

Then I pm him a long message explaining how hes a fucking retard and get this:

... wrote:

Why didn't you just crack onto my server and fix it yourself, if you are so advanced anyway?

WHAT THE FUCK? I never in any of my messages said I was "so advanced" or even implied that.

THIS GUY IS DRIVING ME CRAZY.

Sorry for my language, but this guy is pissing me off.

Hehe, just ignore it. Delete anything before reading it (can that be done?). Most people give up after two or three ignored messages.

Or, try the contrary approach, if you get a nasty message just reply and say "Thank you, please send another". Hehe, almost guaranteed to stop after about 3 tries.

This happens all to often:
Code:
Good Samaritan: Hi there, just a friendly note to say your website has an error on the "aboutus.html" page ....

Website Owner: Hey, phvck you. Why do you have nothing better to do than point out peoples mistakes. Get a real life you @55h013.
Which is worse: saying something and getting flamed, or saying nothing and leave the error for the world to see?

I have experienced this before when pointing out errors in a <favourite-GPLed-OS-starting-with-L> when pointing out that there was a serious kernel bug. I got deeply flamed for suggesting that someone's favourite OS might actually have a bug.

I always look at finding bugs to be a good thing. It shows someone cares enough to want it fixed and that they also care enough to tell the author what they found.
