Is the Symbian API public? Do you have a link? What about the file format? Which version of ARM? What calling standard?

With the right information it should be easily doable.

http://www.symbian.com/Developer/techlib/v70sdocs/doc_source/DevGuides/index.html

symbian produces them through using c++
idk how open is their api though.

hmm, i hope for a simple way, but i don't know if fasm is "symbian ready" to assemble application into this system.
i have 2 books now with me, "the programming pc connectivity applications for symbian os" and Symbian OS Explained - Effective C++ Programming For Smartphones

maybe later (almost 2 am here) i will read it.

Well, with "format binary" you can make whatever file format you want. And with fasmarm you can make code for all chips up to V6.

according to wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_E71

my e71 uses 369 MHz ARM11 Freescale processor,
does that mean out of luck?

i found all the c++ api here

IIRC, ARM11 is V6. Looks like you're in luck.

As for the API, I'll leave that for you to decipher, but it looks to me like a C-lib interface only, not an OS API.
