Hello! I searched the forum, but didn't find anything similar. I wonder if anyone has seen an example code to transfer files over TCP or IPX? And an example of computer location running the same programme in LAN via UDP/TCP or IPX.
Thank you for attention!

What do you mean by "an example of computer location running the same programme in LAN via UDP/TCP or IPX"? When you say "computer location" do you mean to get the IP or maybe the MAC? Or some other thing like GPS coordinates or network switch port? Or what?

If you are on a LAN, you can have your program listen and/or broadcast on a specific port and this is one of the ways they can communicate. Actually games work that way.

I think its easier to implement a manual approach where you tell your program the other computer's name or an IP.

"In the cloud" (or as we used to call it - the Internet), there's no automatic way of seeing into each persons computers and ports. First there would be the of course apparent security threat and Smile the time it takes to scan them.

Right, that's what I mean. It's interesting to see how's that implemented.

Yes. This is implemented in Quentannon sample.

By the way, good idea about network switch port ;-)
