I sometimes think that AV software is the virus itself. Slowing down all system functions to a crawl, occasionally tagging vital files as malware, high-jacking the kernel and creating instabilities. Ugh, no thanks.

for those who couldn't differentiate an .bmp with a .exe with bitmap logo, antivirus software is a must.

most of the time, i see virus came with user approve, eg, they want to watch some "videos", and that require them to download some codec, and they will "ok" to these...

if they could be tricked by ads, they also could be tricked to vote.. perhaps.
