Transparency needs to be enabled at Config.mnt and requires 512 MB of RAM. Transparency doesn't need a special graphics card, Vesa 2.0 card works just fine.

just wondering: is there some support for HW accelerated 2D graphics in Menuet? Things like moving windows (rectangles) over screen, transparencdy, etc?

as long as i read the source of menuet, i never see any HW grafix tricks. all is make by x86 central processor.

but maybe i'm wrong...

MenuetOS does not have HW accelerated 2D graphics. Vesa is used in real mode to set up the graphics mode and in protected mode to do the bank switching.
