With use of macros required for error handling. I quess these macros aren't provided, so you have to write them yourself to be able to use HlaLib in different assembler. right?

shit, the "hard to do properly" parts (fileio, stdin) are still not marked "done", so i can't comment on these

Well, with an early version of the 1.xx library, he wrote some MASM wrappers (macros and such) and distributed a package for MASM users. I believe attempts at the same were made for NASM, FASM, etc. I believe it is Randy's plan to do a better job this time around with full wrapper support for the popular assemblers.
