Hi Guys,

Warning: Newbie Q.

I've just installed FreeBSD 6.1 (AMD64) on my system, getting everything setup, etc.

Went to install fasm (downloaded latest libc version, went "gcc -o fasm fasm.o"), and got an error about unsupported ELF?

Any clues on getting fasm working? Or going back 1 step, can the AMD64 version of FreeBSD run i386 binaries? (just as Linux is capable of doing so).

I have the same problem sometimes with Ubuntu 64 bits (Linux 64 bits), try "gcc -m32 -o fasm fasm.o", if -m32 fails then use -m elf_i386 (the later one at least works for me with LD)

All sorted, just had to manually link the fasm.o with the required *.so in /usr/lib32... (Needed a lib dir override).
