Tomasz - Firstly may I say you are a Magnificent Pagan God.
Secondly, your most unworthy of faithful subjects would like to humbly submit a modification to the IDE editor. I have always preferred to indent by 4 characters. Thusly I've spent about 2 hours today modifying FASMW.ASM and EDIT.INC to allow the changing of indents to an arbritrary size. A new option string in FASMW.INI called "IndentSize" has been added and an extra combo box has been put on the Appearance dialog. The sources used are from v1.67.18 (Dec 27, 2006) I've marked all changes as "; DS 7th Jan 2007" It would give a real kick to my ego if it was put in the next version

If you have smart tabulation and automatic indents on and don't have any blank space on previous lines, it's not a problem.
Otherwise it can be a bit of a pain in the backside at the end of a line for comments to press tab followed by 4 backspaces or press space 4 times when you're on a roll and coding away at a rapid rate of knots. It's useful at least to me and a feature found in a lot of coding editors that doesn't cost much code overhead to implement. I did forget to comment the "indentSize dd 8" variable though the symbol names maybe can be changed to avoid confusion over terminology. I just thought it would be a nice cosmetic embellishment to an almost perfect product. |

Many appologies. I should read the usage FAQ instead of showing off the size of my manhood. |

Only if this 'mod' would have existed six months ago when I went thru the pain of getting used to wide tabulation like fasmw has(8spaces)... -_-
