kohlrak, I don't mind.
You say, that you can't create a burnable ISO file. I always use MKISOFS tool for that purposes. you can create bootable images, add joliet or rock ridge extensions, lots of other stuff. And I never experienced any problems with burning such ISOs.[/quote]

kohlrak, can you buy stuff online? - why don't you try and get a floppydrive for about US$5-US$10 or perhaps if you know someone with an old PC, the floppies usually still work!! Razz.

Thanks zhak, i found a temporary method that'll work for now, but i'll write that one down for when my apps get bigger than the space there is on the floppy.

Raedwulf, i wish i could. I have the drive, it came with the computer, but no floppies did. Last year in school i lost it during "activity period" and never found it again (pretty sure some one stole it). And that's what i'm thinking about doing, finding some one with a floppy and trading them an RW for it. lol

Here the code done by Tomasz Grysztar for the 512b compo.
assemble its as a bin file and use rawrite to put it on a floppy.
If you do not have floppy, maybe someone else will make a image.

I never got this originally (though I vaguely remember reading about the contest). Cool stuff!

And it works in DOSBOX 0.65 too (boot tetros.bin)! Smile Much simpler than writing to floppy.

EDIT: Score in hex, that's probably a first! Here's a screenie for everyone to marvel at. Laughing

how do you do that ?
put the tetros.bin in the same directory as dosbox ?

I used this:
1. make a dir eg: CdPod, on the c: drive
2. put the file ???.bin in it.
3. started DosBox and typed " mount A c:\CdPod -t floppy" <enter>
4. typed "A:" <enter>
5. typed "boot ????.bin
And it should boot the bin file.

@kohlrak, You can read USB with DexOS (now call DexOS, instead of Dex4u), but you need to boot from a USB fob.

You got to be kidding. Aren't floppies selling at 1000 for a penny? You could find enough coins in any couch to build a small apartment building out of floppy disks.
