anyone in some of the phase of a kernel development (such as bootable code), really needed the listing generator of the asm compiler, tell me if it's essential at the time of nonOS coding? why?

The listing is very helpfull, because when I get an exception I don´t know which code is at the eip address. But with the listing I take the address of eip and look at the listing and there I can see which function doies crash!

I don't want to be necroing a thread but, I have to ask, what is the listing ext? I would love it if someone could explain that to me. Don't know where to post it but this seems like the best place.

Well.. thanks. in. advance. again. Smile Razz
