To start out, read some of the documentation about how the OS works, system functions, and other documents that will help you out when developing applications for the OS. Since your not fully used to assembler coding yet, and even as a general thing it's a good idea to keep a reference book or pdf file about assmebly. If you don't feel like spending some money on a book, I have a link that I will put below that is a great reference PDF file of the book, Art of Assembly Language.
http://www.planetpdf.com/codecuts/pdfs/aoa.pdf To develop inside of Menuet, you will need to use Tinypad. But remember if you save changes to the ramdisk and don't want to lose your work...remember to write the ramdisk to floppy before you shutdown the OS. It's also a good idea to take a look at the other source code to get an idea of how the header works, and other various sections of code. It's weird that some of your programs didn't work, maybe before you start to develop, rewrite the OS onto another floppy incase something happened during the write of the first disk. Good luck, Torrey |
