Hi,

I am trying to Upgrade Windows from 8 to 11. But it's asking for product keys, however, I used my old product keys which is currently using in Windows 8 but it's showing error- wrong product key. I spoke to the customer supports but didn't get any help.

Using the old version I am not able to install software as they are not compatible with the older version of Windows.

Need help, what can I do now.

Thanks

Well obviously you need to buy a new product key for Windows 11. Or just use it without?

or find a way to get it for free if you know what I mean

The in-place upgrade process from Win8 has been officially discontinued, afaik.

what about update from win3.11 to win11?
maybe that's downgrade...

i have two identical PC, one with 7, and the other with 10...
7 starts in 15 seconds, 10 starts in 2 or 3 minutes....

Turning a PC off in 2024 - how quaint.

Yeah, MS will hate you for turning off their spy box. Gotts keep that data flowing to the mothership.

I turn it off every night. Why waste electricity and wear? It boots in 4 seconds if you exclude BIOS (Linux though), and I want the BIOS hardware check to be done anyway.

I never use sleep or hibernation or whatever crap they have nowadays. I want it in a fresh state anyway (in terms of RAM and such).
