Try compiling the following:

Is this a bug?

No, case I is the right way.
Cases II and III needed another '\' because otherwise you will have a line ending in ',' and other line starting by 04h

Well, I still think that the compiler should be able to skip blank or comment lines, though it seems that this is not fasm's architecture.
