"elf/x11/noLibs", "elf/x11 converted", "Run unmodified" - how something could be same time converted & unmodified?
And how x11 could not use lib libx11.so atleast in Ubuntu, Mint and Debian? how to use elf/x11 converted binaries there (in host OSes of VM not in VM) without libx11.so? conversion is opensourced? thanks. |

These are originally Menuet applications, which Ive converted to elf/x11 format. And these elf/x11 binaries now run unmodified in Menuet and Ubuntu, since Menuet has now a simple elf/posix layer. Also, these applications talk directly to X window server in both Menuet and Ubuntu, so there is no need for the application to load any libraries. Ive tested these in Linux Mint running natively and Ubuntu and Debian in VirtualBox in Windows host.

This is really really cool. I'm curious about the X server implementation. Are the sources for it available? I'd love to take a look at them, especially if this is a from-scratch X server. I looked at the source downloads for MenuetOS, and wasn't able to find what looked like an X server in there.

Ive written the x-server from scratch, and in asm, but the sources are not available for x-server. Many other applications sources are at the CD.
