New Midiplayer version in M64 1.39.90. I was wondering, anyone else here interested in Midi connected musical devices ? My own "rig" is a pretty basic, a digital piano and a few older synthesizers.

Midiplayer features in 1.40.50: Displays for used tracks and bars, piano roll editor, synthesizer/wave parameter editor (envelope,etc..), notation display, loading/saving midi filetypes 0 (play) and 1 (edit), instrument mappings by midi channel, by instrument num. and also general midi mapping. Also a mixer view for 256 instruments with volume/pan and main controls with echo.

Sadly I haven't any such device... When I was recent July on 'rest' in hosptal, I saw in therapy room old MIDI keyboard with floppy drive (i guess for samples). Perhaps in about mid 90 years it was not cheap thing. It looks very professional..

I hope you are feeling better macgub! I actually have one of those old keyboards with floppy drive, ensoniq mirage. To program it, you need to select and enter the parameters in hexadecimal Smile However, the idea of the application is that it includes a small synthesizer/sampler of its own, and does the synth calculations in the x86.

I like the graphics sound wave synthesizer editor in your app. This illustrates me how early Korg/Roland hardware works. I attach this catching eye screenshot... I remember about 30 years ago, I tried generating music with Covox. It was a few resistors pluged into LPT port. Some kind of digital/analog converter. I remember I extract samples from stm files usig ScreamTracker. This files can be send to printer port, with perhaps some delay beetween bytes... Sound card was to expensive for me...
