Helo, I am prety new to programing but i have been playing around with menuet os. I found that ther is a compiler for basic. I have one question. How do i use it. How do i tell it what .bas file to compile? Please, some one help me. Oh, the reedme does not help at all Smile

Write your .bas file. Then simply run the mbasic from command line eg. you'll write mbasic <name.bas> <outputfile.asm> <options> if you don't write any options than the <outputfile.asm> will be in FASM syntax, which is what you'll need. Than after you get the <outputfile.asm> compile it with fasm. And that's about it.

I wrote that basic compiler as quick hack while learning how to make simple compiler. I'm surprised that someone actually uses it Cool ...

Basic is the lanwage i just learnd and i realy like the fact that basic is implemented on this os. this makes it ez for me. thanks for the information.

Hello. I used the Basic compiler. Its usefull, but have some bugs. (I know its a dead proyect). I do a little API whit functions in AsmBASIC is very simple.

Its has some documentation (sorry, in Spanish, but the name of functions are in english) You can see the examples and learn.

Thanks. This is prety ez. I thought that you had to run the compiler in dos. Silly me. I could have been making programs the whole time. This program runs in mos. Thanks. I hope to make a couple of apps for this os soon

Thats ok. The google translater woks prety well. I likethe diversety in developers for this os.
