Hi all. How to create my own (hand made) resource and put it into an executable file? (as that does Resource Hacker or restorator, for example).
Can you explain me how are resources constructed?
I need to add to executable resource icon and version info. I want to perform this with action no resource editors, only programmable way.
Can you give me some links to read about full resource description? Or code sample that can do it?
I've been looking for that info via google, and site and found nothing I wanted.. I even have no idea what to start from...[/b]

The fasmw.asm file in the Windows download has a resource section at the end.

revolution, no. I mean CREATE resource. and put in to ANOTHER executable as this do resource hacker e.g. edit resources of any executables. Not resource compilation.

The PE spec would likely be the place to start. The format of the resources section is described in there.
