codestar wrote: a little bit of money. Example: With $5, you can't buy 1 BigMac meal at McDonalds What makes a better boss, if he can subtract 5 from 10 and keep everything under control? Absolutely not. A better boss is a boss who waste money and give you extra income without care for any inaccuracies. He compensates micro management with more orders or more work for the company. THATS good leader skills. Instead of micromanagement and "cheap lists which are accurate to the head of a needle", he creates more orders for the company and don't give a damn about the numbers. Again, this has got to do with experience, I understand that a guy without experience in this will make such detailed plans, but in practice that won't work. Forget micro management, and do everything to create more orders or more work for the company. You see the difference there? Always create more orders/work, and you don't have to focus on the details of money. The boss who is consumed by details of money flow is the one who ultimately fails in the end. This is something I'm absolutely sure about, seen it, done that, witnessed it, this is how it works. The silly boss: "Micromanage money flow better" The good boss: "Create more orders for the company" How fast some of them do this is amazing, they are absolutely consumed about more work and more orders and they absolutely don't give a damn about the numbers, but by the end of the month, there are so much money its ridiculous. That doesn't mean there isn't some form of micro management, but it is not prioritized, some times it may be that you need to prioritize it, but I think mainly in medium/large companies. |

In my mind, money equates to creative happiness, not what I can buy for myself, but what I can do for the world: alternate energy (solar, windmills), efficient living (tight apartment complexes), create jobs, buy cheap abandoned hotels and buildings for the homeless and the only price is to fix them up with the materials that I provide and work sewing clothes and making food. Do for others what you want for yourself. All of them can watch instructional videos on a projector and learn new trades; construction, repair, upholstery, etc, and there would be tests, but I wouldn't need m/any individual teachers. As for as physical possessions, I can't think of anything I want (minimal PC devices; X-Keys), I've got a nice PC, beauty supplies, stylish Italian clothes, zip-up boots, steel jewelry, luggage, art equipment (airbrush, tattoo), dental supplies, everything I need. All I want is to be creative without the restriction of money (living, materials and equipment). To me, money is just a way to share my love and knowledge with the world.
I've got endless ideas for the 3D interactive mall. Example: As a business owner, you could be notified if a potential customer is "looking at" an expensive product in one of your stores (say $300+); in which case, you'd want to stop whatever you're doing and handle the sell personally. Now, I'm thinking we might want an older wiser revolutionary businessman, marketer and advertiser. I guess the first question would be is if the customer has money and can afford it. And the second question would be, do they really want it? Last edited by codestar on 30 Aug 2015, 18:16; edited 2 times in total |

As the business owner and salesperson, you could control "body language" and "facial expressions": smile, nod, wink, handshake, applaud, laugh, joyful, frown, concerned, etc, just by clicking icons. I read a book on psychology recently. I think this makes the "buyer and seller" experience more realistic and helps convince certain naive people who must be "sold". Personally, all products sell themselves to me. I can't be persuaded to buy anything.
You could monitor all of your businesses on security cameras (theft is impossible) then decide to appear at any location and sell products. My ideas go far beyond e-bay and craigslist. It would be made so that no big rich corporations could have a monopoly or a much greater advantage over an individual. At the most, you could have one mall. Imagine walking through a virtual store for newegg or tigerdirect or amazon (downloadable videos and audio books). |

Simple idea is the key. There is no such thing as one perfect type of company, sell your paintings, be clever about your source code, there are people out there who will buy your source code, sell it for a few thousand dollars, even if the source code is mostly not useable, some people will buy it. Raise short term money to gain "leverage" for your next project. If you want to do anything of this before you're dead, you have to begin now. Good luck.
There is no time to waste, do not waste more of it. All of your complex ideas, put all of them in the back of your head and keep only a very tiny part of that in your awareness and start with something simple to gain "leverage". Sell all your computer equipment, everything you have got and hope that you'll reach 5-10 thousand dollars (I don't know how much it's worth, only you know), but don't be cheap, sell and sacrifice everything. That initial amount of money decide what you can do next. Don't hold back, it's a bitter thing to get rid of all of that, but don't hesitate to do it. The money will return back to you very soon. You love programming so it's probably not the right category to make money because something you love to do becomes daily slave labour and it won't work. You should find something to gain money from something you don't necessarily love to do, and keep programming as a hobby. When you become independent you can go back to freedom and do programming again, or take as many trips around the world as you like, cruise in the Caribbean or whatever. |

My PC and everything I own is worth about $700. Not worth selling. No vehicle, live near businesses/grocery, within walking distance. I'm kind of an accountant who manages 4 incomes and the residence rental agreement is to me. I have just enough money to rent another place, $1.8K, but it's not 100% mine. No one knows that I have this, it's carefully hidden in a fireproof steel container. With about $20K, I could buy a home and do programming quietly.
See, this is rent money that I've collected over time, about $250-$400 monthly per roomate. It is my profit after paying bills, they don't know that I've been saving it. I must use this $1.8K wisely to help *us* move. It takes about $20K to buy a house. I think my Miracle CPU is worth millions $$$ (Upgraded). If I got paid like that, I would send Tomasz about 10% ($100K+) since I used FASMG and may move to Europe (Netherlands? Switzerland?) and visit Poland. Quote: With the evolved natural medicine available in California, you can sit in front of your PC, leave your physical body and go to "Disneyland, beaches, space or anywhere with "friends; women" while the real programmer self sits at home peacefully writing code with absolute precision. You can escape from this reality and become connected to a Source of infinite ideas/creativity (mbr?). Quote: Have you ever wondered what it's like to program on a 4D I-Max theater? On the subject of Abakis:
Writing Abakis syntax can definitely help a programmer to evolve, it will tighten your C/C++/Java code. Abakis looks easy but is seriously a hard LL language that will improve your knowledge of assembler, FASM, macros, semantics and sharpen your ability to write code in any language. I have "Abakis Zero" (minimal) which I never released but I think would be helpful and I've been wanting to create a standalone version of Abakis in C with safety and expressions. For those who don't know, C is not a HLL, it's a medium level language like Pascal where you can access memory directly. Abakis is very low-level compared to C, allowing you to write assembler anywhere outside of "asm {}" block. Abakis = Assembler + FASM + Macros + Knowledge + Experience + Magic + A lifetime of studying syntax + Years of practice writing macro languages with no help + 25-27+ years of programming in my freetime, once a week. Miracle CPU, World's #1 Most Efficient CPU (Updated) |
