hi crc
Quote:
What's wrong with phpBB and static PHP?

1 - he has to edit the pages each time he wants to add a news or new version of fasm or any other material than needs to be updated periodicaly
2 - moderators in phpbb can moderate forums only while in cms all moderators can participate more & more even users can participate much more
3 - cms provides xml rss feedback ( he also can write one without cms)
4 - he can grab news from other sites ( he //)
5 - cms also provide forums , blogs , journal ,bookpages and more
6 - fasm documentaion & examples can use wiki syntax
7 - much more options
Wink

This is not the case - PHP scripts do it all automatically.

Also a whole load of functions present but not needed only make a site seems unused. Fasm doesn't really need event scheduals or calanders Smile an active forum is more than enough.

I agree 100% here. I would like to see a wiki, but that's just a personal preference. On the other hand, I'm shifting my site away from PHP and to a RetroForth-based scripting language Smile
