Do you mean fasmw? Because fasm is a command line program.
But anyhow for me I just click the "change" button. Does that not work for you? |

It is possible that font you downloaded is not fixed font.
I downloaded 'Anonymous Pro' and it can be selected as new font in FASMW. |

Bookman old style is proportional font, where every character has its own width. FASMW, as almost every other programming editor uses only monospaced fonts where all characters have the same width - such as Courier, Consolas, Liberation Mono, etc.
That is why you can't select this font in FASMW. |
