no) I need more an articles with samples then a solution to something. In real I am trying to start flatasm not from "hello world" but from what could be interesting for me and what I could use in me apps

Do the examples have to be linux? It'll be easier to start with bitmap files but either way I have some prototype code for my OS software graphics pipeline using SSE but this is currently a mix of FASM and C on Windows. I can extract the relevant snippets though.

I don't understand what you are interested in. Do you want to develop a png decoder and a, say, jpeg encoder? Or even these things are those you are not interested in at all, and you merely want to write some kind of image processing algorithm and for that you'd need to load and save the image in some format with the least effort?
