hi madmatt,
I'm still stuck with DX7. Is there any way where we could 'define' DX version before compiling the source code so previous version of DX user still can use the example using DX9 includes like in c/cpp? i-don. |

I'll look into it, I don't know if the 'IF - ENDIF' commands will work with the new struct macros. If they do then I probably can adjust the includes for that feature. Are you having problems?

That's right, you had directdraw 7, sorry bout that. I changed the
create directsound object command from DirectSoundCreate8 to DirectSoundCreate. This should solve the problem. I uploaded the fixed examples at the ftp site: ftp://68.225.35.57/ FileName: fasmw-WGPFD 13.1.rar |

hey madmatt,
It's working now. Still, if it can be done to switch between different version of DX using a kind of single line of directive would be nice DX wrapper in fasm. BTW, its a great DirectX learning package. Keep up the good works! cheers, i-don |

I'll look into this, It'll most likely be after I complete most, if not all the examples in the book. Since no one that I know of is having trouble, it will be at the low end of the TO-DO list. Quote: BTW, its a great DirectX learning package. Keep up the good works! Thanks, enjoy converting the examples (except when trying to translate those C++ complex functions, OOOooo those migrains do hurt!), and learning directx in the process. All in all it is a very gratifying experience. And of course, if other people can learn from them as well, all the better I feel. MadMatt _________________ Gimme a sledge hammer! I'LL FIX IT! |
