ATI's newest batch of graphic cards come with a new engine --- GCN (Graphics Core Next)

It reportedly function much like an X86 with 2048-bit SSE support.

According to what was being claimed in this link --- http://devgurus.amd.com/thread/166601 --- since GCN is a souped up X86, it can be programmed with assembly language !

I have just begun to study information regarding the new GCN engine, and no, I have NOT bought a GCN based GPU yet.

Anyway, has anyone here tried ASM on that new GCN engine ?
