MASM32 package has a lot of small files -- few lines of code.
Each file goes into its own 8Kb cluster -- result 35Mb unpacked.

I was not humorous -- was just explaining why MASM32 is large when unpacked.

Excuse me, I really created a new user. I promise this will not happen again. If someone does not like CASM, then just get out of the topic. Who wants to download - let downloading and who is not - let not download. Sad

Create something original, what did you expect?
An interesting project is a simple protected mode os, you can start with real mode though. One can certainly learn a lot this way... you can order printed manuals from intel, for free, they are going to be useful.

Even a protected mode os that just echoes user's input isn't as easy as it sounds... certainly more complicated than renaming existing things...

Sorry, matefkr. I get new version of Casm - http://casmfiles.moy.su/Assembler.zip or Yandex.Disk - http://yadi.sk/d/FupgW4tu5qV9u.
