I am working on a simple tutorial app which is supposed to run on 64-bit Vista and Windows 7. I decided not to use the obsolete technologies, so there will be no GDI/GDI+. I will use Direct2D instead. Has anyone tried to do some D2D programming in FASM and can share the headers? It will save me a couple of hours...

If you downloaded fasm package for Windows, then you could take a look at EXAMPLES\DDRAW to get started. (It works fine in Windows 7 64-bit, but of course if you want a 64-bit app, you'll need to port the code)

Loco, thank you for your hint - but DirectDraw is also obselete... Smile
BTW, there is 64-bit DirectDraw header in EXAMPLES/WIN64/MANDEL.

fatygant: if you use new technologies, sure not work in previous windows !!, I use very basic calls for draw graphics with framebuffer and work from win95 to win7 and wine.

pablo, application is 64-bit - so it will only run on vista and win7 (64-bit xp is a rare animal i guess). d2d is available on both of them.
