How do I unpack the CAB file??? EXTRACT gives me "unknown compression format" error

Yes, I had problems with this too. Is it possible that future releases could be put in .zip as well? .zip is becoming more standard since Windows XP has a built-in compressor/extractor for .zip files.

OK I got it now. You need to use Win98's built-in CAB viewer/extractor. I was trying to use the DOS-based EXTRACT.EXE

Also remember that there's (at least) two cab formats out there - the microsoft one, and the installshield one.
