I've seen this page before, I borrowed .iso file code from cod3b453, but I havent found how to read a sector from CD using INT 13h

Its simple you make a bootable floppy image with your OS on it, then in your CD burn software, you click to make the CD project bootable.
It asks for a image, point it to the floppy image. It adds two files to the burn list both .bin, you can use the rest of the cd to store stuff eg: backup files, but unless its on the floppy image you will not be able to read it from your hobby OS, unless you write a ATAPI driver like the one in DexOS. You will from windows/linux. Note: you can do the same with a hdd image. Also note:, you will only be able to read it using int 13h from real mode. |
