Hello,

I have the following problem - when I downloaded FASM and I tried to run the IDE, it slowed down the PC, unsuccessfully trying to load its window completely.
I opened Task Manager and saw that the FASMW.exe CPU usage was fluctuating between 50% and 60% and that two other processes TabTip.exe and wisptis.exe had their usage increased as well at about 15% and that was happening only when FASMW.exe process was loaded. When I tried to end them I saw that the IDE window showed up more but these processes started again since they cannot be stopped which kept the IDE window frozen.
What should I do?

P.S. I do have a tablet.

Please try some simple program that also uses asmedit control, there is an example provided with asmedit package here:

If such program causes the same effect, we will know that this is related to some asmedit's control problem; otherwise it may be fasmw-specific...

No solution for your but in the meantime while the problem is not fixed you can use the command line version fasm.exe. Just use notepad (or whatever favourite text editor you like) to edit the source and then assemble in a separate cmd window.

I have same problem as twixter using tablet with Vista 32 Business. I tried other asmedit proggies as well and they also freeze. After disabling "Tablet PC Input Service" fasmw.exe works but can't use the touch screen.
