Yes, Sir. Wink Mukhtar Sahota is a composer and music producer born and living in UK. He creates rock music based on Punjabi folk with influences of reggae (listen to 'Mahiya Reggae Dub' or 'Soni lagdi' in MySpace for example). His profile in the MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/mukhtarsahota

I can't swear that he is a man "of full value" - you have to believe in my word. Wink BTW, I read somewhere that he has a wife. Very Happy Article about Vitas in Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitas and his homepage: http://vitas.com.ru/

tom: Falsetto is *not* same as head voice. Anatomically head voice is when you "zip" part of vocal cords together, to shorten vibrating parts, so they produce higher pitch. In falsetto (or whispering) your vocal cords do not touch, but you sound them high by pushing lot of air through them strongly.

Subjectively, when singing falsetto you feel vibrating in your throat, when singine head voice you feel it in your mouth.

This morning
just before I woke up
I had this short dream
I can't remember it
very well just in flashes
those angels whispered
whispered in my ears
wondrous love words
I thought I knew from somewhere
it is a bright
morning
just like all the others but
I sort of feel different
for no apparent reason
I'm just happy
it's like today
is the day
to begin a new love Very Happy

My point, evidently not made very convincingly, is this: sound, (i.e. phonation), regardless of label, originates in our larynx, and sound (including speech, singing, whispers, etc) is emitted upon stimulation of the recurrent laryngeal nerve. In the extreme case, for example, of thyroid cancer, where the tumor destroys this vital nerve, some surgeons have met with success in grafting a piece of nerve, often taken from the lower extremity, to the shattered ends of the nerve, (AFTER excision of the tumor, of course), and while no one is singing after such an operation, at least the whispering improves:

Oh, so you objected to the label "chest" and "head", if all these sounds are produced in larynx. Yeah, those names don't originate in physiology of singing. They originate in subjective feeling during producing various forms of sound, and they were coined sooner than we learnt how our voice works.

What changes physiologically is where most of vibration and "amplification" goes - in chest voice and falsetto it is in throat, in head voice it is more in mouth.

This is exactly what I like most in music. It can fill us with positive energy and, consequently, make our life better. Very Happy

Another Russian singer with angel's voice: Женя Отрадная - Zhenya Otradnaya - Love you so much

And her newest song in two language versions - Russian and Spanish:

Accordingly to the Russian Gypsy romances: do you know what connects Spain and Central Asia? Gitanos (Gypsies) which migrated out from the northern India in 11th century during Muslim's conquest and spread around the world. Consequently, it shouldn't be strange that we can find common rhythms and mood in Spanish Flamenco and Central Asian music.

Here we have some examples of so-called Uyghur Flamenco: I like also this song very much: Arken (Erkin) Abdulla - Na yi tian Very Happy

I wanted to ask the same. Laughing

DJ Mauretto do you have any homepage or other site where you expose your music? This composition is very good (slightly in style of songs of the "Era" group). I guess that in original, medieval melody, the harp or lute was used?

Believe or not, but I was grown on such music from the late 70's. My uncle (who lived in the same house these days) was a drummer in different bands. He had old Grundig tape-recorder which was playing electronic and disco music everyday. Very Happy I remember these melodies, even if I don't know exactly the band and title. Thanks for these reminiscences thimis! Very Happy
