I had a nice Motorolla with prepay plan.
A while back i tried to add minutes to it
only to find out that it had gone obsolete.
All hand phones in US must have gps now.
(The bastards want to know where you are)
I vouched never to buy another one in my life.
It has been a few years now and i dont miss it too much.
I do admit these new models look like fun to have.

Now, I'm using Sony Ericsson P1i, for about 1 year.

And at the same time, BlackBerry is like the current hot stuff in my country.
Almost everyone want it.

Sheesh.
I wish OpenMoko Freerunner was available in my country...

The office bought me an iPhone 3GS. A nice little toy Smile

Unfortunately its SDK is only for Mac. so I don't think I will seriously play with it any time soon. Sad

I'm now browsing the board with the HTC Magic cellphone. Nice toy (it's the one with Android OS), though has some annoyances. And I guess I cannot do any fasm development with it. Wink

Yes, it's really too expensive for what it has to offer, IMHO. But I didn't have to buy it, it's a phone I've got from work (so if I quit my job, I'd have to return it). And still I can play with it as much I want. Wink

The Sky Map application is an amazing thing with this phone - as it is able to detect orientation of the phone, it displays a sky map as if your phone was a "window" you're looking through.

Another point for Magic - the Sky Map runs much more smoothly on it, than in this video.

Im using bold 9000. Its an old model but have some good qualities:
screen: 480x320
cpu: 624 MHz
ROM: 128mb <<< ACTUALLY a bad quality. almost all bberry have 256 mb rom/ram

with 128mb, the firmware ocupies 90MB, so theres left 40 mb for applications and ram. More apps installed, less ram.

SONY W205 looks like a toy, its really light and the plastic is like a cheap plastic xD. The price here is a little bit higher u$d100 aprox.

bye thy the way, sony w205, f305, w395 are not sony ercisson fones. They are branded as sony ericsson but the plataform is not sonys. They are odm models.

the plataform thet use sony ericsson in ther phons is db2050 w200, w300, w800, db3050(A2) k850, z760.... And for the last ones its a3.

w205, w395, f305 are calypso plataform.
In the last 2 years, sony ericsson stop doind cheap models an pass the brand to some other factory.
Motorola was doing the same somthing about a 5 years now: c139, c115, c200, w375, w175, w395, w270, c261, wx295... are all odm.

In the market, only samsung, nokia, lg, rim (bberry), pantech are still doing they cheap phones by themselvs. In case of RIM and Apple, they dont have cheap models.
In case of samsung, my guess is thay have a lot of different fabrics them selvs with they owns plataforms: sysol, agerre, swift, broadcome, quoalcome(high price models).

In my country the 3g sucks. EDGE works better but only blackberry use them. Old Motorola have EDGE too but the network is not avaible.
In the case of WiFi.... really, its not the same as with a pc. I still can live without checking the mails for some hours.
Nowdays, if you have a phone that cant access facebook its like having a Pentium I with 200mhz of speed. Really, WTF with this?
